Technology

Josh is very interested in music technology. So much so that in 2017, Josh started a company that encapsulates all media needs for performers. Photography, recording, and web development have always been among Josh’s passions, and he decided to use those skills to form this company. Josh now has eight independent contractors working under him and his company. Josh is also sought out for graphic design. He designs media for Theatre and Music programs throughout New Jersey. Examples of Josh’s work in technology can be found below.

Covid-19 Technology Innovation

Teaching music has been a challenging task as a large bulk of the instruction music educators do is not designed to be delivered remotely. For that reason, teachers have had to be creative in how they deliver instruction. Josh has chosen to see this as an opportunity to address facets of music education that cannot always be addressed. He has spent a great deal of time working on effectively taking advantage of this situation. For specific lesson plans and teaching videos click here.

Teaching

Here you will find videos and lesson plans as evidence of Josh’s growth as an educator.

This warm-up was meant to prepare students to record for a virtual choir recording session. After the warm-up, students went into break-out rooms and recorded the song City Called Heaven. This warm-up was meant to address the technical challenges and expressive elements of the song.
