Josh Lisner is a conductor based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Known for his expressive leadership and commitment to artistic excellence, Josh Lisner is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where he studies with Dr. Joe Miller and Dr. Brett Scott. Prior to beginning graduate study, he served as Director of Choirs and Vocal Music at Edison High School in New Jersey, where he led the transformation of the choral program through significant artistic growth, nationally recognized performances, professional recordings, and appearances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

A summa cum laude graduate of Westminster Choir College, Lisner received extensive training in conducting, rehearsal pedagogy, and choral performance. He continues to refine his craft through distinguished conducting programs, including the International Conducting Training Program, the Interlochen Choral Conducting Institute, and Westminster’s Summer Conducting Festival.

An active tenor, Lisner performs with the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir and has collaborated with many of today’s leading artists, including Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Riccardo Muti, Joyce DiDonato, Renée Fleming, and Nathalie Stutzmann. He is a recipient of a GRAMMY® Award for his work on Bradley Cooper’s Maestro and was named a Quarterfinalist for the 2027 Music Educator Award.
