In 2024, during his time at Edison High School, Lisner wanted to have a work commissioned to be sung each year as a part of our commencement ceremony. He wanted something that accurately portrayed the high school years and growth, while also casting a light that felt personal to the Edison community. Josh sat down with his then fiancé, now wife, and worked out the text to Journey On. When the final draft was complete, he immediately contacted Casey Gorab, knowing that her sound would be the perfect complement to the text.
