In 2023, during his time at Edison High School, Josh sat down to write the text of Rain. His vision was to write something with a message that translated well to students while also ensuring that it’s content was nuanced and exciting. What he settled with was Rain, a work pins Rain as a metaphor for the pressure of the world — being both an important motivator and helpful inspiration, while also having the ability to feel crippling and difficult. Reaching out to Sam Scheibe was the clear choice to take a meaningful text and bring it to light.
